OFF TO BE PUBLISHED
This is one of my very favourite layouts right now. I just love that photo of Emma, she looks so sweet and innocent there. I used Bo Bunny Alissa papers, Kaisercraft bling and Green Tara and Bella flowers. And a Fiskars border punch. I'm loving those border punches at the moment!
I haven't been scrapping quite as much the last few weeks because of those books I've been reading! Whenever I get a bit of time, I read another few pages.(or chapters!), whereas before if I had a bit of spare time I used to scrap.
I still have about 2 pages of Breaking Dawn left to read. I really dont want it all to end so I have been dragging this last book out. I have watched Twilight about 20 times now (actually it is on at the moment because Emma is also obsessed with it and watches it every day!) So anyway, now that I'm nearly finished reading that book I should be getting a lot more scrapping done. I bought a heap of new papers today and I'm itching to use them, so watch this space!
Just one more thing, THANK YOU for all the lovely comments! I really loved reading them!

I can finally say it...
I'm on the Kaisercraft Design Team!!! I am so excited and I still cant believe it's really true! I almost didn't bother to apply for it because I didnt really think I was in with a chance, but I'm so glad that I did. Just goes to show, you've got to be in it to win it!!! I almost dropped the phone when I got the call the other day, and afterwards I thought I might have just imagined the whole thing. And then the hardest part was that I couldnt tell anyone until today. I cant wait to get started with my DT work and playing with all those gorgeous products! Here are the layouts and mini album I made for the DT submission...
I am doing classes of the layouts during May at Fancy That Scrapbooking in Springfield. They are on display in the shop now.
I'd just like to congratulate everyone else who made it onto the Design Team. I think we are in for a lot of fun!

Gee, I'm a nice Mum...
I was a nice mummy today and let the kids have a day off school to go to Seaworld. They thought we were just going shopping until we pulled into the Seaworld carpark. It was a perfect day for it and we had an absolute ball. I managed to talk Jack into going on the Bermuda Triangle ride, which is so tame, and he totally freaked out. And Emma on the other hand was totally bummed that she is still too young to go swimming with the sharks. They are so different! We have passes until the end of June so I only took a couple of photos today.
I have been busily scrapping but nothing that I can really show just yet. I do have some VERY exciting new that I'm dying to share but I cant just yet, but if you check back on Monday I will be able to then!

A New Layout
I've been doing so many pages using Kaisercraft papers lately (and I have another one almost finished!), but I've actually used something different on this layout. These are Bella papers and they are just so gorgeous! I'm not usually a huge fan of Bella but this range is really nice. It was great to get these photos scrapped finally too. They are of the first time that Jack met his little sister, when we were in hospital after she was born. The little photo overlapping the main photo opens up to reaveal a bit of journalling.

School Holidays
Well, the school holidays haven't been really very exciting for us. We had planned to go to Bribie for a few days but the weather was terrible at the start of the week so I decided not to go. And then of course it cleared up. Isn't that always the way? Mum decided to have Emma up there with her for a few days on her own and Jack stayed home with me, which was nice. He loves having me all to himself. I took him to see a movie and out to lunch, and then I let him hire a game for his playstation (which he completed in half a day!) We have had a lazy couple of days, and I am now halfway through the last book of the Twilight series! And Jack read a whole Zac Power book! It has been bliss and oh so peaceful without our little chatterbox around. I have missed little Em to bits though and it was great to see her when she came home today. After she got home we headed off to Southbank with Katrina, Callum, Abbey and Manning. The kids always have an absolute ball when we go there and come home completely exhausted and ready for bed. (Especially seeing as it was going on for 10 o'clock when we got home tonight!) Baby Manning is nearly 4 months and oh so very cute! I got these gorgeous photos of him and his big baby blues.
The kids love to swim around for hours in the pools at Southbank, but it is nearly impossible to get a decent photo of them. This is the only one I got of the four of them, but it's not a very good one. All you can see of Jack is his butt poking up in the air as he gets more sand from the bottom of the pool to throw at Emma.
The kids always go back in the pool after dinner and I managed to get this cute photo of Emma and Abbey. The boys were much less co-operative.
After they'd had enough swimming (or more like after WE had had enough of sitting around watching them swim!), the kids dried off and played in the park for about an hour. Emma got knocked over while they were playing tiggy and to my huge surprise Jack became quite protective of her and actually stuck up for her. And then he helped her walk back to where we had parked the car. It was so cute that I had to take a photo. (Hey, this might NEVER happen again) Of course, Emma milked it for all it was worth. And can you believe, when we got to the car Jack opened Emmas door for her and helped her into her seat! My boy did show some of his true colours afterward though when he said "Gee, I wonder what sort of reward I will get for doing THIS?"

Kaisercraft Spirograph Layout
Just finished this page this morning using the Kaisercraft Spirograph papers. It's for that monochromatic theme again, so this one's all green, apart from the white Bella letters and heart. I was actually going to use these photos of the kids and their Granny to do a double page layout, but I decided to put all the photos on a single page instead, and have it open up to the main photo. And I'm going to tuck a little journalling tag under one of the little photos. I actually quite like how it turned out. Now I just have to work out how to cut my page protecters so I can put layouts like this into my album!
I know it's blurry but I just had to share this photo of Chickie, coming over to check out what I was doing when I was taking some photos of my pages the other day. She is such a sticky beak!

Altered Paint Tin
At the park
I took these photos of Emma with her friends the other day at the park. This is actually a wheelchair swing but the kids thought it was great because they could all fit on it. They played on there for ages with no problems but as soon as Jack and his friend hopped on, they both hurt themselves within a few minutes of eachother. Typical boys!

Gran's Boyz Layout
This layout was a bit of a different one for me. Pink and orange are not colours I would normally use for one of Jack's pages but I wanted it to be a bit more girly because it's about his Granny too. I think it worked and doesnt look either too girly or too boyish. The photo isnt the best but I've actually got lace and pom pom trim on there as well as some Kaisercraft bling. The papers are Basic Grey Porcelin. There are 2 hidden journalling tags behind the photo, which I thought I might get Jack to write on, although that might be a bit of a challenge because he absolutely HATES writing!

Kaisercraft Layout - Cafe Culture
I just finished this layout using the Cafe Culture papers from Kaisercraft. It's for the Blossies DT theme of Monochromatic, which was a bit of a challenge. I just kept wanting to add more colours to it! I think it turned out ok in the end though, although I will probably keep adding to it - it still looks a bit unfinished to me. I've had this photo sitting around for SO long, so I'm glad I finally got to use it. Well, I'm off to add more to this layout. You might see an enhanced version of it on here soon!

Easter Photos
We were a bit bummed that it was raining on Easter morning and the Bunny wasn't able to hide any eggs in the garden, but he sure did leave plenty in the house! We were staying at Patrick's for the weekend, and luckily the Easter Bunny knew we were there! Emma was the first one awake (this only ever happens at Christmas and Easter!) and guess what she saw when she looked out the window? As well as hiding eggs all over the house, the EB had left two cute cuddly toy puppies right outside the front door, and each of them was holding a chocolate bunny. As soon as she saw that she woke us all up and the hunt was on! It was had to get any decent photos inside because it was still quite dark (because it was SO early) but I did get a few cute ones of Jack. I had bought an Easter hat for Emma to wear but Jack claimed it as his own. (I should have bought 2. I just didnt think he would wear one!) And he looked so cute in it so I cant wait to scrap some of those photos of him.

Another Kaisercraft Layout...
Made from Mumma Bushka and Fun Fair papers. These were the last of the scrappy bits I had left and I didnt even need to cut them up! (well, hardly) I just used the scraps as they were and it didnt turn out too bad. I am going to try and do this the next time I do a page and use up every little scrap! (I've said this before though, so we'll see) I actually need to add just a tiny bit more journalling to this page. It says "You just love having your photo taken", and I need to fit in "when it suits you" somewhere, because that is exactly what that little rascal is like. Sometimes she actually asks me to take her photo and will pose for ages and other times she runs as soon as I take the camera out of it's case!

Kaisercraft Layout
This is just a very quick layout I did with some scraps from other pages that I still had out on the table. It took about 15 minutes to throw it all together and although it's really simple, I actually love it! I think I need to do more speedy pages like this to get through that ever growing mountain of photos I have! I still have a few more scraps from these paper ranges (Mumma Bushka and Fun Fair), so I might see if I can get one more layout out of them. I am really loving these Kaisercraft papers at the moment. They are so bright and fun.
Easter Treats
Yesterday was the last day of school before the holidays. Yippee! I love it when the kids are on holidays and we can do whatever we want. And the best part is we dont have that crazy morning rush to get to school before the bell goes. The kids took easter treats for their teachers and all their friends yesterday. Last year I made Easter cookies and wrapped them in cellophane but this year I was too sick to even think about baking so I just put Easter stickers and eggs in little cellophane bags for their friends. And for the teachers I found the cutest little baskets in the junk shop and I just filled it with eggs and chockies. The kids were so excited about going to school and handing them out. And they came home with lots of treats and were on such a sugar (and holiday) high all afternoon. Now they just cant wait till the Bunny comes!

Vampire Girl
I am almost finished reading Twilight, unfortunately. I was pretty happy to discover that there are other books in the series though. Anyway, it reminded me of this layout I did of Emma as a very cute Vampire. I think I have already put it on here once before, but here it is again. Love those teeth!

Easter Paper Bag Book
Seeing as the Bunny will be coming in just a few days I thought I would share this cute Easter paper bag book I made from the photos of last Easter. It was made using 2 mushroom bags that I got from Coles. I love how the opening of the bags become pockets to put extra pages into. It was so much fun to make, and addictive too. I just want to keep on making more of them!

Twilight - Why has it taken me so long?
I bought this book a few weeks ago and it has just been sitting in my cupboard. Well, seeing as I am feeling sick and sorry for myself today, and cant bear to even have the tv on, I thought I would get my book out. Well....I havent been able to put it down! It is so good, I love it! I am going to have to read it a bit slower or else I'll probably finish it by tomorrow! Gotta go....it's calling me!
K & Co Layouts
I made these 2 layouts for a kit at Fancy That Scrapbooking. They come with all the products and full instructions. I love how these pages turned out and the papers are just beautiful. I think there may still be a couple of these kits left so if you hurry you might still be able to get one. And dont forget to check out the back wall of the shop for all the other great kits they have available!
