Finally...NEW MOON!

OMG! I have just been to see New Moon, and it was totally worth waiting for! Best movie I have seen for ages, for sure. I loved every single second of it, and do you know what? I have always been a total Edward fan, but after seeing the movie I think I might be switching sides. That Jacob is nearly young enough to be my son, but boy, is he gorgeous! Those muscles!!!!

Kaisercraft Rewind Layout

This layout was featured today on the Kaisercraft Blog, in the theme of multi photo layouts. I'm really more of a single photo layout kind of gal, but lately I am really loving doing multi photo layouts. When I first started scrapping I used to love doing mainly double page layouts because I thought my albums would "flow" better that way. So funny, now I dont give a thought to how my album will look, and most of my layouts arent even in albums yet!

A Layout to Share

This is the layout I did for the Addicted to Craft blog challenge. Not a lot of paper on here, so a bit different for me. I think I just might have to go and add a bit more to this one ;)

I'm finding it a bit hard to scrap at the moment, because I've packed a lot of my stuff up, and I can't seem to find anything I need! I cant believe I'll be moving in 1 week! Yikes!!! I'm so looking forward to a bigger house though, and especially a room just for scrapping :) The kids just cant wait to be near the beach. I wonder if the novelty will ever wear off for them? I doubt it, they are a pair of water babies who would be happy to swim around all day. I love the beach too, but I dont really like getting into the water. The thought of what might be swimming in there with me just freaks me out!

Kaisercraft Layouts - Pack Your Bags & Lilac Ave...

I can finally share some of the layouts I've done for Kaisercraft! The first one is using the Pack Your Bags papers and brads. There is a little tag tucked under one of the photos (see where the ribbon is sticking up?) The second layout I made using Lilac Ave papers, stamps and brads. I love the stamps for this collection, they are perfect for making the layered flowers on the layout, and the brads are nice and blingy!

Covering Kaisercraft Wood Flourishes With Fabric

I've had quite a few people ask me how I made the fabric flower on the "New Teeth" layout I did a little while ago, so I thought I would do it as my Tuesday Tip on the Kaisercraft blog. All you need is a wooden flower (or any shape you want) and some fabric. Here's how I did it (It's so easy!)

Step 1- Cut fabric into 1cm - 2cm strips

Step 2 - wrap strips around the wooden flower, making sure you go around the first part twice to keep it down.

Step three – after you’ve finished wrapping the fabric around the flower, secure any loose ends with a small amount of glue.

Step four – embellish the centre of the flower (I’ve used a button from the Christmas Carnival embellishment pack)

Step five – attach to your card or layout.

Make sure you head over to the Kaisercraft Blog for more tips and ideas. There will be lots of new layouts on there too, using all the new Q2 ranges. I cant wait to see what everyone has come up with. Also, if you get a chance, make sure you check out the Imaginisce blog. They are introducing a Designer a Day, and showing some examples of their gorgeous work. (I'm still on such a high that I was chosen!)

I haven't been scrapping much over the last few days because Emily has been SO sick with the chicken pox. The poor little muffin has it really bad on her face, much worse than Jack did, and hasnt let me brush her hair for days because they are all over her scalp too. She's looking a bit brighter today and is eating again, so hopefully the worst is over. I've just pulled out all my supplies out so hopefully I'll get something done today!

Super Dooper Exciting News!!!!

Oh my gosh, I'm still in shock about this! A couple of weeks ago I sent off an application for the Imaginisce design team, not really expecting anything. And then yesterday I got the most awesome email...and I'm now on the Imaginisce Design Team! I am so excited! Imaginisce is one of my absolute favourites, with all their gorgeous papers, stamps and cute embellishments. You've heard me raving lately about the Perfectly Posh range of papers, and those are what I used in my DT application. Here are the layouts that I sent off...

I thinks these layouts are some of my favourites ever. I just love the colours in the papers, they're so nice and bright. I was going to use colour photos but I just loved how the black and white looked against these papers. I also made some cards with it...

I love the little poodle stamp, it's just the cutest! The first time I tried to get one they were sold out, so as soon as I saw it again I just had to grab it straight away. I cant wait to start creating with the products I'll be getting sent from Imaginisce next week. Make sure you check out the Imaginisce blog to see all the gorgeous projects they have on there. And make sure you become a follower on their blog and facebook page. They pick people all the time to recieve FREE PRODUCTS just for being a fan of Imaginisce!

This is Important...

This is something that is really close to my heart. I hope that everyone who stops by here takes the time to read it. I am so glad that I can play a special part in these beautiful souls lives until they are able to find their forever homes. This is Africa's Story. If you would like to support the RSPCA in their worthwhile cause go here.

Mini Album Share and a Blog Award

This little mini album was made using Fancy Pants Chipboard (which was longer pieces that I've cut up) and Kaisercraft Grunge papers. The band around the front is a 7 Gypsies one that I have turned around and tied some ribbons on. I think it is one of my very favourite mini's that I have made. I dont tend to make quite as many things for Jack as I do for Em, but when I do I always love them. Using up Scraps - Imaginisce Perfectly Posh

I have pretty much used up all the Imaginisce papers that I got the other day, except for a few little pieces. I knew that if I put them in my scraps box that I'd never look at them again, so I thought I'd try to squeeze one more layout out of them. And I did! Anyone who knows me, knows that I like to use loads of stuff on my pages, so I was pretty pleased that I got a page done using so little. I had to cut my little scraps in half to make them look a bit bigger, added a couple of bits of cardstock, some lettering, and voila! Finished in about 10 minutes. I decided to use it as my challenge over at Scraps of Us - to use the scraps from your last layout. I'd love you to pop over there and play along :)

October Afternoon Christmas Layout

This is the layout I did for the Addicted to Craft blog challenge week 4. The challenge was to use October Afternoon papers and include 4 birds on the page. I almost didnt do it because I couldnt get the birds to look right on there, but it finally came together. I just went and had a look at this weeks challenge, and it definately will be a challenge. You can see it here.

3 Layouts and a Couple of Zombies!

I have lots of scrappy shares for today. This layout here I made for Blossies, using the gorgeous new Fancy Pants Little Sprout papers. I was feeling too lazy to search through my letters for the title, so I just drew it. It's a bit dodgy but I kind of like it, and it's nice to have something a little different on my page.

This next one's for Blossies too, and I've used My Minds Eye and Fancy Pants papers and a super cute little Imaginisce stamp. (I just love those little stamps, I cant get enough of them!) Em recently saved up some money (meaning she collects all the money she finds lying around the house, in drawers and in the car and puts it in her money box!) and bought herself a "real" tea set, not a plastic one. Now, every time a friend comes over she gets out her tea set and has a tea party. It's so cute.

Now with this last page I was a bit sneaky and combined 2 challenges in one. I was given a sketch from Scraps of Us and I knew straight away what I wanted to do for it, and what papers I wanted to use. But I also wanted to use those papers for the Inspiration Challenge over at A2Z Scraplets. So I just combined the two. I used Bo Bunny Grease Monkey papers, an empty Kaisercraft Rewind die cut sheet to matt the photo and the chipboard flourish is from A2Z. I'm really quite happy with how it turned out and it was good to do another page for Jack.
Speaking of Jack, he is feeling much better now, although he is still a bit spotty. He was determined to be better for trick or treating last night, and both the kids got way too many lollies as usual. They both went as zombies this year, and I got some really good photos. Cant wait to start scrapping them!
