Growing Up

I cant believe how quick the baby mice are growing up! The RSPCA had told me that they needed to go back when they are 2 weeks old, and I thought, no way are they going to be ready. But I guess they will be, because at just 9 days old this little one is jumping off my hand and running around when I pick her up! Bit of a change from the little pink jelly beans of a week ago! None of them have their eyes open yet but I'm sure it wont be long now.

Kaisercraft Duchess Mini Albums and Stand

I was really happy with how these mini albums and stand turned out, using the Kaisercraft Duchess papers and embellishments. It had been a little while since I had done an BTP and I really enjoyed doing this one. You can see more mini album ideas on the Kaisercraft Blog.

Isn't this just lovely?

This is what I found on the windsreen of my car after shopping this morning. I mean, why bother leaving a note at all? You really have to wonder about some people.

Lots to share....

Wow, I have been so busy! At the moment I am sprucing up my house to try and sell it and it's taking a lot longer than I thought to get ready. I have so much crap that I have been keeping, like toys that dont work any more and clothes that the kids have outgrown, and lots of other useless stuff, so that has now all been sorted and most of our stuff that we want to keep has now been packed and stored in the shed. I've even packed a heap of my scrapping stuff, although I still have a cupboard full in the house to keep me going (definately couldnt live without that, even for a month or two!) It will be kind of sad to leave, because it's my first house and the kids have grown up here, but I cannot wait to move into a bigger house. We have definately outgrown this one!

Speaking of scrapping, on the weekend I went to the Fancy That Scrapbooking retreat, and taught a couple of classes on Saturday. I was feeling really horrible and headachey the whole weekend and left early on Sunday, and luckily found a doctor that was open. Turns out I had a sinus infection so now I've got some antibiotics to clear it up. I wish I'd gone earlier now instead of putting up with it, but I really hate going to the doctors! I feel like I wasted that kid free time on the weekend cos I was sick and didnt get much scrapping done. It didnt help that I forgot to bring any paper! Plenty of lettering, photos and embellishments but no paper! I had a heap of Kaisercraft papers organised and I had kind of planned what I was going to scrap, but when I got there and set my stuff up, I remembered that I had left all the papers sitting on the kitchen table! I couldnt believe it! So I ended up buying some papers there and I did this layout of Jack and Emma at Easter, using Bella papers. I LOVE those papers, so nice and vintage looking! I did another page too, using some Basic Grey papers but it's not quite finished, so I'll have to put it on here next time.

This is a page I did a little while ago using Kaisercraft Offshore papers, stamps, letter stickers and chipboard and embroidered badges. It's one of my favourite Kaisercraft pages that I have done, and I just love that photo of my beautiful boy. Make sure you check out their blog for the great competition they've got going at the moment!

And lastly, here are some pics of the baby mice. They are so tiny but they are growing so fast! They actually have whiskers now, but no fur just yet!

Kaisercraft Childs Play Layout

Here is the layout I did using the Kaisercraft Childs Play papers and embellishments. It's on the Kaisercraft blog along with lots of ideas for putting borders on your layouts so check it out here! I have been kind of slack with blogging lately but I will soon have lots of new layouts to share. Oh and guess what! At the moment we are fostering a couple of cute pregnant mice for the RSPCA and yesterday afternoon one of them had babies!!! 8 of them can you believe! This is a pic of Diamonds, she hasnt had babies yet, but I will try to get a pic of Sparkles and her 8 little ones on here soon!

Another Kaisercraft Layout

This is a layout I did a little while back, using the Kaisercraft Loire Valley papers and embellishments. I found those papers went really well with the kids school uniforms, so I'll be doing a few more school layouts using those papers! There are more new layouts on the Kaisercraft blog and you can check them out here.

And this is a blog award I got from the lovely Tina. Be sure to check out all the gorgeous layouts on her blog!

Design Team News!

I had a lovely email the other day asking if I'd like to be on the design team at Scraps of Us. Of course I said YES! It's the first and only online site I've ever been hooked on and the girls on the forum are just so lovely! At the moment they are having a Winter Wonderland Cybercrop and my first challenge went up last night. I had to do a winter themed layout (and those pics of Em were about the winteriest photos I have!), and the challenge is to use 5 photos and 4 patterned papers on a layout. Cant wait to see what everyone comes up with!

On the flu front, we are still a sick household. Jack has finished with the Tamiflu but is still not well and I am feeling so rotten that I keep dozing off every time I sit down. Hope it goes away soon. We are going stir crazy being at home all week!

Kaisercraft Pina Colada Layout

Well, it's Saturday Sketch time again over at the Kaisercraft blog and this is the layout I did for it. I just love those papers, they are so nice and perfect for summery, beachy photos. I've had that pic printed out for about a year so it was great to finally have the perfect papers to scrap it! Make sure you check out the Kaisercraft blog for the sketch and some more sketch layouts!
