Kaisercraft Jungle Bug Layout

Monday again!!!!! Geez, they just come around too fast don't they? Our weekend was gone in the blink of an eye. On Saturday we spent the entire day at the kids' school fair. The weather was a bit miserable, but the kids had a fab time, and when it was over they told me that they wished it went for 2 days, so they could go back on Sunday and do it all again. (while I was thinking "thank God that's over!") And on Sunday we pretty much just stayed home and watched dvd's, and I got stuck into some scrapping :) '

Now I do have one layout that I can share today, using the super cute Jungle Bug range from Kaisercraft. This has to be one of the cutest ranges they've ever had, I just love it...

Aren't the little bugs just the cutest!!

I have lots more Kaisercraft projects to share this week, as well as a couple more Imaginisce layouts, so I'll be back soon!!!

Imaginisce and Core'dinations

Helloooo! I know I've been a little bit slack with the old blogging lately, but only because I've been soooo busy! My poor Mum has broken her leg, and I've been spending a lot of time with her. It was quite a nasty break, and she even needed surgery to pin some parts of it back together! All because Jack left water on the bathroom floor and left the shower running when he stayed at her house, causing Mum to slip :( She is not a happy camper, because she is in a wheelchair for the next 8 weeks or so. And Mum and I are running the craft stall at the school fair on Saturday, so that should be interesting! At least she will get to sit down all day, lol.

Now, I have been scrapping, and I've got quite a few new layouts made up for classes, but nothing that I can show just yet. One thing I can show is this little box I made for Emily...

She loves little boxes, and she just adores little bits and pieces to decorate her craft creations. So I plan on filling this little box with buttons and flowers, and other little bits and pieces just for her. (and so she stays away from all my good stuff!) I used Imaginisce paper and ribbon, for the box, and some Core'dinations cardstock for the flowers and cardstock "ribbon" on top. At the moment Imaginisce are having a blog swap with Core'dinations, so make sure you pop over there to see some gorgeous projects, and you could even win a fantastic prize, just for leaving a comment :)

Fancy Pants My Family Layout

Hi there! Hope you've all had a good Monday. I did something silly last night, and stayed up scrapping til about 3.30am. What can I say...I was on a roll! I didnt really feel tired last night and had to force myself to go to bed, but boy, am I paying for it today! I wont be doing that again in a hurry, lol. Definately not as young as I used to be!

I dont even have anything that I can show just yet, for all my efforts last night! I do have this quick little layout that I did the other day though...

I used Fancy Pants My Family papers, a handmade flower and a denim covered button for this one, and yes...I do still have a son! I seem to scrap Emily so much more that it probably seems like I only have one kid! And notice I finally tried the banner thing too. I have been admiring the banners on everyone elses blogs for ages, so I'm glad I finally did one!

Well, that's it from me for now. I'm gonna crash on the couch with the kids for a while and then get an early night. Before I go though, I just want to say how overwhelmed I was at the response to those kits I put on here yesterday. I mean, WOW! All gone in just one day! And there were a lot of them too. And I want to thank you all too, for your lovely comments, that always just make my day :)

Better go before I start rambling too much! I am really no good without much sleep!

Published Layout

Hope you are all having a great weekend so far. We've been having a really lazy day today. It has been such a busy week for us, so it's been really nice just to veg today. I think I'll have to take the kids and Daisy out for a walk soon though, just so we dont go stir crazy!

So while I have been watching Sponge Bob with the kids, I've also been busy finishing off a project for the DoCrafts mag this afternoon, and it is actually looking kinda cute! Cant wait to share it :) I do have one I can share today. It's a layout that is in Scrapbooking Memories this month...

It's an old layout that I did back in March last year. I had actually forgotten about submitting this one, it was so long ago! Nice to see it finally made it into the mag :)

Well, I'm off to get our butts moving for this walk before it gets dark. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Another winner!

It's Saturday, time to pick the weekly winner for the Imaginisce Giveaway!

A Prima Layout!

Good morning! I'm a bit spoilt today. Mum just picked the kids up to take them to school, cos she is headed down that way anyway, and it's 8.30 and I'm still in my pj's! Love it :) Not for long though, because I still have to head down to school sometime this morning to do some stuff for the craft stall for the school fete. Mum and I are going into EVERY CLASS to make craft projects with the kids, so we can sell them back to the parents. It will definately be a busy few days! So I really dont like my chances of scrapping much in the next few days, but I do have a layout to share...

I bought these yummy Prima papers the other day, and did this page early on Mothers Day morning while the kids were still asleep. It's a bit of pink overload, but I love how it turned out. Probably because I love, love, love that pic of my cheeky girl. I used a few handmade bits from my etsy shop too. Cute handmade buttons and the fabric rosette...

I just love the little birdie buttons. Soooo cute :)

I have been so excited to get some sales! And I would love to see what people do with the things they've bought, so if you do make something with anything you've bought from my shop, I'd love to see it!!!

I have been busy adding some more buttons to the shop. These ones are my favourites...

You can get them here at Purple Pumpkin Crafts. And just a special deal for readers of my blog, if you buy any of the scrapbook kits in the shop, I'll pop a few matching handmade buttons into each one. Just put the word "blog" into your notes at checkout :)

Well, I'd better get back to sorting out my crafty stuff for school today. I've been making loads of shapes on the cuttlebug for the kids to make cards with. Em just can't wait to see me there :)

Imaginisce Splash Dance Layouts

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a nice Mothers Day yesterday. My pair were so cute yesterday, and were very excited to make breakfast for me. I was sent to my room, and then they called me out when it was ready....cold, burnt toast with a big dollop of marmalade in the middle of it! They were so proud of themselves that I just had to eat it. Luckily Jack made me a cup of tea to wash it down with!

Now for some scrapping...This super cute range from Imaginisce couldn't be any more perfect for me! Living near the beach, I always have soooo many photos of the kids in the water or on the sand, so when I first saw this cute collection, I was in heaven! Here's what I've come up with so far...

I still have just a bit more of this paper, and I'm gonna make sure I use up every little scrap!

Guess what my next giveaway is going to be ^^^^^?

Masking with Kaisercraft Wood Flowers

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a fab weekend so far. I'm planning on hitting the beach with the kiddos soon, and then scrapping the night away with my girl. I have made a huge mess of my craft room, so I'll have to make myself sort that out before I can get any scrapping done. It drives me nuts when I cant find things, and at the moment I cant find anything!!!

I made this project for the Kaisercraft blog a little while back, and just thought I'd share it on here too, as you all know how much I love a good step by step project :) (And I'm apologizing in advance for the weird colour of some of my photos!)

Step 1 - To start off, paint up a page of a wood album, then grab a few of the Kaisercraft wood flowers. Of course you could use other things for this, such as punched shapes, etc

Step 2 - Arrange them on your album page and then spray with a misting spray (I used Smooch Spritz in Silver Foil)

Step 3 - Once it’s dry you’ll have a unique background to work on

Step 4 - Add a photo and a rub on, and finish it off with a bit of ribbon through the holes, so you can hang it up. I've got it hanging on a little hook on Emily's door.

It was so quick and easy to do. It's a really quick and easy technique for making your own backgrounds for layouts and cards too :) Em has been harping on at me to let her have a go of "spraying stuff" on her layouts, so I'm gonna be brave and let her try it tonight.

Happy Scrapping!

Best Ever Caramel Truffles Recipe

Good morning to all my fabulous friends out there in blog land!! I just wanted to share with you all this yuummy recipe for these Caramel Truffles. It is a recipe I got off the back of a caramel tin a while ago, I think. They are an absolute favourite in our house, especially with Emily!

Here's what you'll need...

1 packet of Choc Ripple Biscuits
1 Tin of Caramel
60g Butter
2 Blocks of Cadbury Chocolate

Here's what you need to do...

1. Put the bikkies in your food processor til they are finely crumbed.
2. Melt caramel and butter together in a saucepan.
3. Once melted, pour onto bikkies, mix, and put in the fridge for a few hours.
4. Roll mixture into balls when it is firm enough.
5. Dip in melted chocolate.
6. Drizzle melted white chocolate on top for decoration.

How easy is that!!!! And I can pretty much guarantee you'll love them!

Kaisercraft Utopia Layout

Do you ever just have one of those mornings where you actually cant wait til the kids go to school? Well, that's kind of how I felt this morning! From the moment my 2 opened their eyes this morning they have been bickering and carrying on about the tiniest thing...who got the biggest muffin in their lunchbox, who can brush their teeth first, then in the car...they were fighting about how much of the back seat they each can use, who gets to sit on which side...omg! I had really had enough! Normally I love weekends and school holidays where I have the kids home all day, but I'm really glad today was a school day!

Ok, enough whinging from me :) I've got a layout to share using the Kaisercraft Utopia range...

I actually didnt think I would like this range when I got it, but once I used it I totally fell in love with it! I'm actually going to be selling some kits using this range in my etsy store soon, so keep an eye out for it :)

Fancy Pants About a Girl Layouts

Morning everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous long weekend :) We had a really great weekend, because we had some friends come up to stay with us. I love where we live now, but I really do miss having my friends near by. The kids had so much fun having their friends sleep over, and I really loved having someone to scrap with! I had planned to do loads of scrapping over the weekend but all I got finished were a couple of layouts....

And here's a little close up...

I made these layouts using the About a Girl Scrapbook Kit from my Etsy Shop, Purple Pumpkin Crafts. This kit is for sale for only $7, so I was pretty happy that I got 2 layouts from it!!! The kit actually comes with more embellishments, but I didnt use them because they are all in the kits. All I added was the glitter cut and some lettering. I am totally loving those Fancy Pants papers :) I've got some more of the new ranges here too, and I can't wait to get stuck into scrapping with some of those. Fingers crossed I will get a chance sometime today. Got a bit of housework to get stuck into first.

Happy scrapping everyone! Hopefully I will be back soon with some more shares :)
