I Love Kaisercraft Bling!

I put this page together for a challenge at Scraps of Us. The challenge was to create a page with a handmade tree, flowers and bird. Well, I was totally stumped but decided to give it a go last night, and then ended up getting totally carried away with it! I'd pretty much finished it but it kind of looked like it was missing something, until I pulled out my stash of Kaisercraft Bling! Then I got really carried away! I love that stuff, even though I'm not a really blingy scrapper. So I've spent the last little while blinging up this page, with a chicken sitting on my lap. (Got to be careful using bling around her as she loves to eat it!) As soon as Em saw the finished page she claimed it for her room. Typical girl, she loves anything with bling on it! Hope everyone is having a lovely scrappy weekend!

Another Black and White Layout!

This one's not as busy as the last two but I do like how it turned out. Love that boy, he really is my little Super Star!

The papers I used are Kaisercraft, Bo Bunny, 7 Gypsies and Fancypants, and the star and word is Bella.

Another Layout with Kaisercraft, Bella and BMPS

I have had this photo for years but have never scrapped it! Little Miss Emily is about 18 months old here. Didnt have much hair, did she? Jack at this age had a full head of golden curls! I love this photo though...reminds me of how sweet she used to be! (She still is sweet, just with a whole lot of attitude thrown in these days!)

I've used Kaisercraft papers, Bella, Fancypants, Black Market Paper Society and 7 Gypsies papers, and Bella chipboard buttons, word, journalling blocks, butterfly and flower. I love how all the different brands go together so well - using black and white is my new fave thing at the moment!

She's Got Attitude!

She's got attitude, this girl of mine. Too much of it and she's only 6 years old! I'm hoping this is just a little stage she is going through and will be back to my sweet little princess soon. If this is a sign of things to come, then I'm definately not looking forward to the teens!

For this layout I've used Kaisercraft, Bella and 7 Gypsies papers. I usually tend to scrap using the same range but with using just black and white papers, you really cant go wrong. And the little chipboard skull, I was saving to do a pirate page for Jack but I just couldnt resist using it on this layout. It just suited it perfectly!

My Minds Eye Layout

The colours came out a bit weird in this photo for some reason but they are actually quite nice. I've had these photos sitting around for ages so it was good to finally scrap them!

A Layout and an Award!

This is a layout I did the other day for Fancy That. It's part of a kit which contains instructions for that layout and 2 others, and it is awesome value.

And I got this cute blog award from Heidi. She always has lots of gorgeous scrappy stuff on her blog so be sure to check it out!

Now to pass it on....The Renee Award was created by Bella and Cesin honor of their friend Renee. In Bella's own words: "this is a brand new award and I have the pleasure and honor of spreading the seed, watching it grow. I hope it finds it's way to those who are like Renee: the acorn, a small package becoming a tall and sturdy oak, giving more acorns, becoming tall and sturdy oaks, giving acorns..."There are no "rules" for claiming this award, but I would suggest the following:Thank the person who nominated you for the Renee Award.Click on the picture above to see it larger, then download it and post it on your blog.Mention the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.Nominate others to receive the award. Comment on their blogs to let them know you nominated them.

I'm giving my awards to Carla, Tracey and Lien. Be sure to check out their blogs!

Movieworld, Layouts and Crazy Rain

Well, we've been so busy the last week! On the weekend we went to Movieworld with Katrina and the kids and we had an absolute ball! We got there for when it opened and left when all the rides had been turned off. Em was a little daredevil as usual and had heaps of rides on the rollercoaster. The she decided to get wet running around in the water fountains in the only clothes I had brought for her. She was already wet by the time I realised so I just let her have her fun. She ran around in it for over an hour! Jack decided to play it safe on the kiddy rides as usual. My camera battery went flat by lunchtime but at least I got a few photos.

I also did my first cybercrop over the weekend over at Enchanted Scrapbooking and it was really fun! I actually got 3 pages scrapped, which is pretty good, seeing as I wasnt home much on the weekend. Here are a couple of them.

And on the way home from work today I decided to get the kids early, becuase of the rain, and discovered that the roads around the school were blocked because of all the rain and flooding. When I finally got around and picked the kids up, it took us over an hour to get home, for what is usually a 5 minute drive. The parks we usually go to were completely under water and looked more like rivers, and so many roads were flooded, so it looks like the little darlings will be getting a day off school tomorrow. Poor Chickie looked like a drowned rat when I got home so she is spending the night snuggled up in her bed in the bathroom. I can't stand the thought of her sleeping outside in weather like this. She is one spoilt chook.

A Couple of Layouts...

Just a couple of layouts. This Easter one is for a kit at Fancy That Scrapbooking. Everthing is provided in the kit - papers, embellishments and instructions and it is awesome value. There are heaps of other kits available too, although only limited numbers of each one.

And today I got my copy of Scrapbook Creations with this layout of Daisy in it! Still new to having things published, I wonder if the novelty will ever wear off!

You Have To See This!

Mum showed me this clip on YouTube last night of Susan Boyle singing on Britains Got Talent. Apparently the whole world has heard about this but I hadnt seen it til last night, and it is just amazing! I mean, everyone laughs at her when she comes out on stage and just assumes she has no talent, but boy, does she blow everyone away! I have to admit, my jaw kind of dropped when she started singing because you just dont expect that. I love how the looks on the judges faces changes. It is just awesome! And her personality just cracks me up! Love how she does that little stompy dance at the end! So hilarious! I hope she wins.

Happy Mothers Day!

Well, I had a pretty good Mother's Day - bbq at Wivenhoe with Patrick and the kids and then dinner with Mum tonight. Would have been great if I'd had time to scrap but at least I took some cute photos today! I love the photo of the kids watching Patrick cook on the barbie. So cute, their little heads! They are always really interested in cooking, just so fussy when it comes to eating!

Kaisercraft Layout and Sneak Peek!

Mum hates this photo of her but I actually quite like it for some reason. And I'm quite happy with how this one turned out. For this layout I've used Kaisercraft Wish Upon papers, which is actually a Christmas range, but I just love the colours in it. And they are perfect for cutting up too! I've used the Blossies Journal Helper again (available here). They are really great value because when you buy it, it gets sent to your computer and you can print them out as many times as you like. And of course I had to use a border punch! I am so addicted to those things at the moment!

Have you seen the new Kaisercraft papers coming out in June? They are absolutely gorgeous and I just cant wait to get my hands on some. Click here for a sneak peek. There are six new ranges and I know I will want them all!

Kaisercraft Mothers Day Card

So I got back last night from a few days at Bribie, checked my email, and what did I see? An email from Kaiser about my first project - a Mothers day card due in yesterday! Trust me to be away for that! Anyway, I had some scraps of Kaiser paper left over from a layout I did a few days ago (of my mum) just sitting there, as well as a Journal Helper from Blossies and it all came together pretty easily. I'm really happy with how it turned out, (and Mum - if you're on here, dont look - that's your Mothers Day Card!) I emailed a pic of it off to Kaiser this morning and it got there in time to go on their blog with all the other DT members gorgeous cards. Click here to check them all out!
