I haven't made a paper bag album for ages, but I really wanted to make a little travel book with the Scooters Vacation range. The kids and I really want to go somewhere overseas in the next year or two, so I thought this would be a great little kids travel book for them to record their photos and memories. Paper bag books are great because they have pockets for stashing all sorts of bits and pieces, like photos, notes and memorabilia, and the Scooters Vacation range is so, so cute for kids travel pics. I left a spot on the front cover for a photo, or maybe the name of the destination, and spaces inside for photos. I cant wait til we can actually fill it with travel photos!

Wow, I feel like I havent blogged for ages! One From The Retreat
Last weekend I went to a scrapping retreat for 3 nights, from Thursday to Sunday. It was so much fun, and I ate waaaay too much, but I only managed to finish 5 layouts! This one was for a challenge, where we had to make a vintage layout with negative space. Hmmmm...that was such a challenge for me! I just cant make negative space work for me, and vintage? I love the look of vintage layouts, but I find that kinda hard too. So anyway, here's what I came up with...
I used Kaisercraft Gypsy Sisters paper, as well as some book paper and the bits and pieces that I got for the challenge. I actually ended up really enjoying that challenge and I'm going to try and do some more vintagey layouts. I have a thing for book paper at the moment, so at least that will fit into the vintage theme!

Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue Layout
Isnt the Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue range just gorgeous? So nice and girly. It was perfect for scrapping one of my favourite photos of Em with her best pal in the world, Daisy. I tell you, those two are inseparable. Emily is totally 100% in love with that little dog She'll often call out to me urgently, and I'll think that there is some emergency, but it's usually just Em wanting me to see how cute Daisy looks sitting in a certain position, or if she has her ears down and is looking cheeky or something. I have to admit that I absolutely adore that crazy ball of fur too. I couldnt imagine life without her :)
Well that's all from me for tonight. I got back from a scrap retreat today, and I am sooo tired. I have some new layouts to share, but I'll take the pics tomorrow when I have a bit more energy.
Dont forget, if you love the Lilac Ave range as much as I do, be sure to enter my blog giveaway, for your chance to win a heap of Lilac Ave goodies :)

Did You See This?
It was featured in the Kaisercraft newsletter. As soon as I saw the photo stand I knew I wanted to make it as a gift for the kids granny. Of course I just had to use the new Made With Love papers, they were just perfect for it, and the ribbons and the little felt heart was from the Made With Love embellishment pack. It was a really fun little project to make and I actually wouldnt mind making a few more of them, if I can get my hands on some! I know Em would quite like one for her room, and seeing as I'm thinking about getting her a camera for her birthday, it would be perfect for displaying some of her photos.
Well, it's nice and quiet around here at the moment, because I've just dropped the kids off at school. We had such a busy weekend, with Jack's birthday, and then his party. Here's a few piccies...
I took a heap of cupcakes to school for him, and his class sang Happy Birthday. That's his lovely teacher lighting the candles. I was so worried that I wasnt going to get there before the bell rang, but I made it just in time :)
After we got home the plan was that we'd take his presents to one of the tables by the water and have a little party, but he just had to open this one at home. He had given it a shake and knew it was lego, and he just couldnt resist!
I love this photo of Jack and his Poppy. Dad got him a fishing rod and tackle box for his birthday, and on Sunday, while I was working, the two of them went fishing and Jack caught 3 fish on his new rod!
These next photos are of the bowling party...
We had 2 lanes, and can you believe that Em actually won! She beat all those boys and she even got a strike. Jack was disgusted that he was beaten by his little sister, but only by 2 points :)

Mini Album and Cards
Good morning everyone! I thought I would share some photos of a few things I made a little while back for the Docrafts magazine. I was totally stumped when I had to make a bunch of cards, as they are really not my thing, and the papers were a bit tricky too. They are from the Papermania range, and were all purple and green, and the cards were all different shapes. As soon as I saw there were a couple of round cards though, I knew I just had to turn them into a mini album...
Yep, like I said, cards are not my thing! You can find all the instructions for these projects in the current Docrafts mag.
Well, I had better go and start icing Jack's birthday cake. He has chosen a Pirates Dagger and it looks really easy, so that's good! He's got his bowling party today, so I'll be taking lots and lots of photos :)
I even put a couple of little tags behind the photos for extra photos...
I was really happy how it turned out, but not so happy how it looked in the magazine. The photos were really were not so good and the colours looked weird too. Here are the cards I made...

Sick...
I have hardly blogged at all the last few days, and I have missed it! I've got a horrible cold at the moment, and Jack has too. And it's flared up his asthma again, so that's no fun. He's had a pretty good run with that lately too. So that's why I havent been around. The kids have both gone off to bed really early tonight though, so I thought I might sneak in a quick post before I go to bed too.
I havent done a lot of scrapping over the last few days, but I can show a sneaky of this layout. It's a double pager that I will be teaching over at Blossies next month, using the Kaisercraft Made With Love papers. I'm teaching some classes there this Sunday too, which I'm really looking forward to. Actually I've got a really busy weekend coming up. Jack's birthday is on Friday, so I'll be making lots of cupcakes to bring into school. Then he is having a birthday party on Saturday, so that should be fun. More baking for me to do, he wants a pirates sword cake, which he spotted in the birthday cake book. Lucky for me, that one looks pretty easy. Then Sunday I've got 2 classes, so that will take up most of the day.
Don't forget there's only 2 days left til I draw the winner for these Scooters Vacation goodies. If you havent entered yet, just click here.

Scooters Vacation Layout and Something Cool...
Don't you just love the Scooters Vacation line from Imaginisce? It is just sooo cute. They are travel themed but seeing as I havent really travelled anywhere, it's also perfect for kids photos too. Especially boys. I took this photo of Jack on New Years Eve. Mum bought him the hugest ice cream, and I was sure he wouldn't eat it all, but of course he did! That boy has got a crazy appetite on him at the moment, I just can't believe the amount of food he is packing away lately!!! Here are a few close ups...
On this layout I also used some book paper, which I have a bit of an addiction to lately, and the ice cream stamp is from a previous Imaginisce range. I think my fave things on here are those little puffy stickers...so cute! If you are loving this range as much as I am, make sure you enter my blog giveaway, for a chance to win a heap of Scooters Vacation goodies :)
Now for something cool (well, I think it is anyway!)...
I was blog surfing the other night and was checking out this blog, which was featuring some pics from CHA. And I saw a photo of my little Puppy Love album that I made for Kaisercraft, on display at CHA! I thought that was pretty cool :)

Layouts, layouts, layouts...
Happy Monday everyone! I'm so glad the heat has eased off a bit at the moment. It's all overcast and windy outside at the moment, so it's a perfect day to stay in and catch up on some scrapping. I seem to be all up to date with my dt commitments at the moment, so I'm just going to scrap for me today. I've seen a few good challenges that I might do, but if you know of any other good challenge sites just let me know!
I have a few layouts to share today. This one was for A2Z Scraplets, and it's a Scrap with V kit. It was soooo hard and such a challenge! I was given 2 sheets of patterned paper, ribbon, a couple of flowers and the scraplets. And I had to get 2 layouts out of it!!! 1 layout would be no problem, but 2??? I didn't know how I would possibly do it, but then I found out that I could add some cardstock to it, so at least that was a bit better. They definitely aren't my usual style but they are growing on me. Good to do something different for a change I guess ;) This is the other one from the same kit.
I also did a layout for the A2Z sketch challenge...here's the sketch...
And here's my layout...
The papers are Basic Grey Sugar Rush, aren't they nice? I love the flower embellishments in this range. And I love that photo of Em, taken on Christmas Day. She was patiently waiting for mum and dad to arrive so she could get into the Christmas crackers, she kept swapping them around in the hope that she would get the best prize, lol :)
Don't forget I have a blog giveaway at the moment, to win lots of Imaginisce Scooters Vacation goodies. I am leaving it open til the 12th of February, and all you have to do to be in the running is leave a comment and post it to your blog. Click here to enter.
