La Di Da Layout and Scrapbook Kits

Finally...it's Friday! It has been a long week. Poor Emily has been really sick, with a rotten ear infection, and has been waking up every night at midnight and 4am. You can definately tell that the painkillers only last for about 4 hours! So after she has another dose of medicine I read to her for around an hour til she finally falls back to sleep. As you can imagine, I have been walking around like a zombie all day, cos I dont do too well with not much sleep! I havent had a chance to scrap much either, cos Em just wants me to sit with her and watch movies all day. The good news though, is that she is definately on the mend! She got a good sleep last night, and so did I, so life is good :) She has even been helping me to make some of her favourite caramel truffles this morning

Now, I do have just one layout to share. A quickie I did for the Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch last week...

See those little rolled flowers? Those are the same ones I made for my etsy shop. I have added some new kits to the shop this morning too...

These kits are all really cheap! They start from only $7 each, but only limited quantities of each one, so if you want one, go here to check it out :)

For Sale! For Sale! For Sale!

I've been thinking for ages about jumping on the Etsy bandwagon, and opening a little shop, and I finally did it! It's called Purple Pumpkin Crafts. Yay me! Me and my mum that is. I mentioned a few months ago to her that I was thinking of starting an etsy shop, to sell hand made cards and layouts, and kits and things. Well, mum took the idea and ran with it! She doesnt do any paper crafts but she is great at making all things fabric, so she has been making loads of cute handmade fabric flowers, patchwork bags, softies and other fabric goodies for the shop.

What I really have been wanting to do is make layout kits with instructions. At the moment I have limited numbers of this scrapbook kit for sale in the shop. I had fun finding cute ribbons and embellishments for this kit :) It will come with full instructions for making 4 layouts, so it will be like doing a class at home, or perfect for taking to a crop night...

Here are the pics of the layouts, with some close up shots of each one...

Every thing you see is included in the kit, except for the "Cutie" title. So long as you have some adhesives and ink, you'll be good to go!

We'll be adding lots more stuff over the next few days, but there is a bit in there now to look at. I would love it if you checked it out! Just go here :)

Imaginisce To Love and Cherish Layout

If you love black and white paper ranges, then you're going to fall head over heals in love with the "To Love and Cherish" line from Imaginisce. As soon as I saw this range I couldnt wait to get stuck into it! Even though it is a wedding themed range, you can scrap pretty much anything with it. I thought about adding a bit of colour to this page, but I just loved how using only black and white, with a black and white photo, gave it a nice soft look. Here's a few close ups...

Now here's a little secret...I have a huge stash of this awesome range to give away! As soon as my other giveaway is finished (go here if you havent entered yet) I'll have this gorgeous range up for grabs! I'll be putting it up on the 1st of May, so keep your eyes out for it :)

At the moment, Imaginisce have a huge amount of inspiration and ideas from the design team on their blog, as well as a giveaway too, so make sure you go check it out!

Gypsy Sisters - Easy Cards...Step by Step

Good morning! The rain is pouring down here, so I can't take any decent photos of my layouts to show you. I created these cards for the Kaisercraft Blog, so I thought I'd pop this little step by step on here for anyone interested in some quick and easy cards...

Choose the paper range you want to use (I chose Gypsy Sisters) Once you’ve decided how many cards you want to make, cut out an appropriate number of flourishes from the paper, (1 for each card). Stamp a corresponding number of flowers with an ink to match the papers, and make some rolled flowers (remember that tutorial I did?) to match. (If you dont want your card to be too bulky, just stamp 2 flowers for each card instead.)

Now…cut (and ink) your papers to these sizes…

10cm x 14.5cm…..7cm x 9cm…..6cm x 6cm…..9cm x 2cm…..2cm x 2cm…..5cm x 2cm (this is to make 1 card, so cut more of each size depending on how many cards you are making) You should end up with a little pile that looks like this…

Now for the easy part - putting them together. Grab a pack of blank cards and envelopes, or you could fold your own cards, then just follow these quick and easy steps and you’ll have them put together in no time…

How easy is that? Now here's a close up of one of the flowers just for fun...cos I love them so much!

I've got Emily home with me today so I can dose her up on lots of antibiotics, so I am planning to have a crafty day with my girl. Hope you have a great day!

I'm Back!

Oh my gosh, I have had the busiest week! I meant to do a post before I left but it just never happened. So where was I? I went to Creative Block which was held at Print Blocks. I was thrilled when Imaginisce asked me to design a class for this event, and there was the lovliest bunch of ladies in the classes. I'm not sure if I can share the layout here just yet as I think it has been sent off to Scrapbooking Memories, but here's a little sneaky of it....

I also worked at the Imaginisce booth at the event with the lovely Bridget Bradley, who was here all the way from Salt Lake City in The States. Here we are demonstrating the I-Top and the new I-Rock tool....

The I-Rock is the coolest tool ever, I'm pretty sure everyone is going to want one! Before Bridget came over to Australia she decorated some shirts for us to wear using this new tool, and here we are showing how it can be used on this little pocket, which was part of our make and take. Doesn't it look awesome!

We did a huge amount of make and takes, and even though I was sitting down most of the time,(as you can see by that picture below!), by the third day I was pretty tired! (Might have had something to do with those late nights though!) To be honest, I wasnt really expecting Creative Block to be much of a big deal at all, but there were some amazing classes on offer, and loads of awesome make and takes. And so many people!!!

On Sunday we left the hotel and I took Bridget sight seeing for a couple of days. Of course I had to take her to Australia Zoo to see these cute little guys...

And then this morning she headed home to The States. The whole week seemed to go by so quickly, but I have to admit that I missed my kids terribly. It's definately the longest I have ever gone without seeing the little ratbags! I sure got lots of hugs when I picked them up from school this afternoon! Poor Emma though, she has been a bit sick with this weird skin infection, and when I took her to the doctors today to get a third, different, lot of antibiotics for her, the doctor said that if this lot doesnt help her then she will have to go into hospital. Please keep your fingers crossed for her! I'll be back with some scrappy shares soon :)

Oh, and if you havent entered yet, make sure you go here to enter my giveaway for an awesome stash of scrappy supplies!

Gypsy Sisters Layout and Late Birthday Pics...

The first week of the school holidays are over, and although it's gone so quickly, it feels like forever ago that it was Emily's birthday, which was on the last day of school. I was actually planning on taking her to the zoo that day, but she had her heart set on going to school because it was Easter Bonnet day, Free Dress day, and because she wanted everyone to sing happy birthday to her. I know I'm a bit late, but here are some pics of her on her special day...

My little April Fool...

Of course she had to have PINK cupcakes for school!

Hanging out with the Easter Bunny

The Easter bonnet parade. They did a little dance too, it was very cute :)

And the fabulous Easter Bonnet, handmade by Em at school...

She had such a great day, and she absolutely loved the pink camera I gave her. We went to Australia Zoo the next day and she got to give it a real work out :) I got annual passes so I'm sure we will have millions of zoo pics by the end of the year!

Now...for some scrapping! This is a layout I did for the Kaisercraft blog, using the fabulous Gypsy Sisters papers. I had this photo left over from a single page layout I did for my class next month at Blossies, so I ended up using the scraps to make this layout...

The title is a bit hard to see because it's a bling word, but it's Love, and all about how Em loves the beach. I used the I-Top to make these little brads. Gosh, I love that thing!

And the journalling. I'm really trying to make a huge effort to journal a bit more on my pages, so it's not just about having fun with paper and glue ;)

And look what else I came across while I was *trying* to tidy my scrap room...

Some gorgeous Kaisercraft Loire Valley rub-ons. I am going to add these to my blog giveaway too! If you havent entered yet, make sure you go here. You can have up to 3 entries for this one. Just leave a comment for each entry. At the end of the month, everyone who has left a comment (or 3) will be in the running :)

Imaginisce Live Loud...You Rock!

I am still love, love, loving the Live Loud collection from Imaginisce! I've only got a few little bits and pieces of it left, but I managed to do this layout with a super sized photo of Jack. I printed out this photo of him ages ago, and could never scrap it...until I got these papers that is!

How perfect is that A2Z Scraplets "You Rock" title? I have been hanging out to use that one!

And how cute are these Rub-ons? I'm going to put these with the rest of the stash for my GIVEAWAY, so make sure you go here to enter. Dont forget to leave a comment for each entry. You can leave up to 3 comments for 3 chances to win!
